Now retired, I was a GT Coordinator for 24 years in three districts, most recently Waunakee. I have worked with the Future Problem Solving Program for 30 years. I believe that students need to be taught problem solving skills in a systematic matter and that there is really no place in our K-12 instruction where that happens on a regular basis. I have seen students develop amazing critical and creative thinking skills when involved with problem solving over a number of years.
